While waiting for his actual prosthetic to be constructed, one amputee constructed a functioning leg out of Lego pieces, but it was uncomfortable. On the other hand, this woman has a unique Lego prosthesis that appears exceptionally impressive. Her name is Christina Stephens, a practicing occupational therapist and clinical researcher who lost her foot after a crush injury. She built herself a working prosthetic leg out of Lego. When questioned about why she chose to create a Lego prosthetic, she responded by saying, “A colleague in my research lab jokingly proposed that I construct a prosthetic leg out of Legos.

The joke’s on them, though, because I went home and did it.” She also advised against attempting this at home, as she doesn’t want others to risk falling and injuring themselves.
