Zillow is one of the handiest tools we can use when we’re looking for places to rent. It’s customizable, and you can adjust the price so you only see homes and apartments that fit your budget. Oftentimes, we find homes that feel just right. After scheduling a showing, you might just feel like you’ve hit the jackpot. But not all homes are made equal, and several landlords on Zillow are charging outrageous rental prices. Even though these homes are beautiful, we’re not sure who can afford them other than celebrities. We could only hope to rent one of these places. Though it would set us back all of our income for decades. Many of these homes come with amenities we only imagine existed in the movies. There are in-home movie theaters and fully-equipped gyms. We’re not sure who would ever want to leave their home if they invested and lived in one of these properties, because they sound like something from a dream.

Prepared For The Apocalypse: $52,000/mo

In Royal Oaks, California, you’ll find this breathtaking six-bedroom, eight-bath villa. It’s the dream home of Californians, and with this home, you won’t have to travel to the Mediterranean. The luxury estate brings the Mediterranean right to you. It’s quite over the top. There’s an elegant butterfly staircase, a grand foyer with fine-crafted coffered ceilings, chandeliers made from crystal, hand-crafted moldings, and other custom-made built-ins in every corner of the house you turn. We assume the price comes from the French oak flooring or the home library. This is a home you’ll never need to leave from. Goodbye, world! The master sweet is the icing on top, with vaulted barrel ceilings, arched windows, and a jetted tub. In case there’s an apocalypse, this home has a $20k generator with a propane tank and gas backup (Zillow).

Even though this property unfolds to luxury and high-end living, we’d think the Zillow landlord would be a little bit more lenient with their prices. It’s a special home for people who pay too much attention to detail. This private resort has a steam shower, jetted tub, bar, billiard room, and fireplace. Just to top it all off, it has a built-in BBQ and an outdoor kitchen, just in case the indoor kitchen wasn’t enough. Since most of humanity can’t afford this type of space, it’s time to make friends with people who can (Zillow).

If you live in a city like New York or Los Angeles, you’re probably used to paying a ridiculous price. That’s why you work a 9 to 5, after all. But this apartment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, takes it up a notch. For a whopping $25,000/month, you get to stay in The Parisian Home of Rittenhouse Square. The landlord’s description of the home is quite enticing, and he calls it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The landlord promises that you can, “gaze over dramatic park views while the gleaming city skyline rises above the treetops and take in meticulously renovated interiors that match the historic Beaux Arts building in both grandeur and scope,” and that “you’ll discover elevated opulence wrought with the highest level of quality and bespoke craftsmanship.” It sounds like something from a romantic comedy. The listing is two bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, though we’re not sure we could convince our roommate to split the cost of this one, even if it does have handmade wallpaper, bold columns, and white oak floors (Zillow).

We’re taking it up a notch in San Francisco, California, with this $38,000/month rental. The landlord promises it’s the epitome of sophistication, though we’ll be the judges of that. It’s a three-bedroom home spread over four levels. At least the view of the city is captivating. That is probably why this home is worth the price it is. With this rental price, you’re paying for oversized windows, an office, and a fireplace, though we’re not sure when these features cost tens of thousands of dollars. It’s likely because it has a roof deck with glass railings and a panorama view, which is a great setting when you’re drinking your high-end champagne. We’ll have to keep wishing these Zillow landlords lower the price just a little bit, though it doesn’t seem likely (Zillow).

Ever dreamed of renting out a hotel in NYC? Well, that dream can be a reality if you have the money to spare.
