Toilets are a massive water hog; they can consume up to 30% of your household water usage. They don’t need to use that much, so don’t let them. Some people have tried to use bricks in the past. Grab a bucket, and fill it with cold or icy water. Set a round fan on top of the mouth of the bucket, small enough so it balances but big enough so it won’t fall in. The cold air will be blown by the fan, cooling you and your house. With a little bit of time and creativity, you can have free AC.
Don’t throw away those final shards of soap! Collect them and make a new bar. Break the scraps into quarter-sized pieces. Put the soap into a pot with water. Turn your stove up to medium-high heat.
