14. A California native, Orlando Soria, has been a staple of the design community for more than a decade.
After growing up in Yosemite National Park, Orlando Soria moved to the East Coast for college. Eventually, he moved back to the West Coast, where his career in design began. His big break into the world of HGTV and interior design started when he was hired as an assistant on an HGTV series. Since then, he has continued to thrive, operating his own design firm, creating a blog, writing a book, and filming two seasons of his own HGTV show, Build Me Up. Orlando comes from a Fine Arts background and inspires all of his projects with his life-long understanding of composition, color, and materials. Designing spaces have come naturally to Orlando.
With a lifetime of experimentation and creativity under his belt, Orlando founded a full-service design studio in 2012. His current focus is on residential clients in Southern California. Recently, Orlando has launched E-Design, which makes his interior design services available to clients across the country. Orlando offers his 174,000 Instagram followers access to not only his HGTV projects but also DIY projects. Orlando’s show, Build Me Up, became a show that is all about tackling difficult life transitions and using the healing power of interior design to help people move into new life chapters. To help make each space unique, lifelong artist and maker Orlando has created some home decor items that you can easily add to your area to recreate his inspiring looks. Designed by Orlando is made in California with sustainably-sourced materials. Each piece will add beauty and joy to your space and life.
