
AI Came Up With A Meal Plan For My Family & Even Gave Me A Grocery List
Does anybody else feel like meals are a constant cycle of buy, prepare, clean, repeat three times a day? For me and my family, this can get exhausting. Thinking of constant ideas for food and then also coming up with the grocery list takes up hours. And many of the meal prep kits they offer nowadays come with small portions and high price tags. So I asked AI to come up with a meal plan for me for three days, and this is what I got:
Day 1:
- Breakfast: Oatmeal topped with sliced banana and a sprinkle of chopped nuts.
- Lunch: Chickpea and vegetable wrap with hummus in a whole wheat tortilla.
- Dinner: Spaghetti with marinara sauce and a side salad.
Day 2:
- Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with sautéed spinach and whole wheat toast.
- Lunch: Mixed greens salad with canned tuna, cherry tomatoes, and a simple vinaigrette.
- Dinner: Stir-fried tofu with bell peppers and brown rice.
Day 3:
- Breakfast: Greek yogurt with a drizzle of honey and a handful of berries.
- Lunch: Peanut butter and banana sandwich on whole wheat bread.
- Dinner: Veggie stir-fry with whatever vegetables you have on hand, served with rice.
After this menu, it gave me a breakdown of the grocery list by food group. At first, it gave me a bigger grocery list, so I asked for a more budget-friendly plan. Remember, you can go back and forth with ChatGPT until you’re satisfied with the outcome. Ask it to be mindful of a diabetes-friendly diet or specific budget.
