16. Make it Easy to Reach for Healthy Choices
According to one study, pretty much everyone is gaining weight during Covid. The average weight gain has been 2 pounds per month since the pandemic began, which means that most people have gained at least 20 pounds. It’s like the “freshman 15” in college. So if you’re hoping that these fridge organization tips will somehow help you eat healthy and lose weight, you’re not alone. The good news is that it’s totally reversible, so long as you implement some healthy habits into your life.

One of the best ways to avoid eating unhealthy food is to make it easy to reach for a healthy choice. For example, keeping water bottles in the door of your refrigerator is a quick and easy way to remind yourself to stay hydrated throughout the day. Also keep the healthy foods at eye level that you want to eat first. For example, I started buying packaged salads, because it was one of the most convenient ways for me to eat a healthy meal. Now, when I open my fridge, I see this right away, and it becomes easy to make that choice.
