The Dread Bed
Rastafarians love to wear their hair long in dreadlocks. In Rastafarianism, the hair is considered a symbol of strength, spirituality, and connection to God, also known as Jah. Rastafarians believe that their hair should not be cut, and they let it grow naturally into long, matted coils. Some people like to follow that style, even if they’re not a Rasta. A lot of people who followed the style without the spiritual belief attached will eventually get tired of their dreadlocks and cut them off. For most, it was just a phase. (Especially if they aren’t Rastafarian.) But it takes years to grow dreadlocks. So it’s sort of understandable to feel sentimental. This person decided to turn their dreadlocks into a pet bed. To me, this is cringeworthy, because it’s literally a bed made out of human hair.
