10. Making Pretzel Turtles Out of Rolo Candies
Do you remember the Rolo candy? Not everyone does in this day and age. However, they seem to be a favorite candy of the older generation, with its beautiful combination of chocolate and caramel for a nice treat you could keep in your pocket for when you are ready to eat it. Well, you’re going to have to start unwrapping a lot of Rolo candies for this recipe. However, it is worth it when your kids get to taste this scrumptious treat after all that hard work.
Just place one Rolo on square pretzels, bake them for a few minutes until the chocolate starts to melt, and then push a pecan into the top of each one so that it roughly looks like a turtle. They’re delicious, crunchy, and the burst of caramel in the middle will wow even your kids. You might have a hard time saving any of these by the end of the day. It would be best to have extra ingredients laying around for when your kids want to make them again. It it is around a holiday, simply purchase them a day or two after that big day to save some money on baking goods.
