
29. Drawer Flower Beds
If you were considering making raised flower beds in your garden, maybe you watched a few tutorial videos and realized that you do not have the technical skills to cut wood and create the project you were hoping for. A great alternative to this is to simply reuse drawers from an old piece of furniture. You could fill the shelves up with dirt, and plant what you like. It also allows you to stack the drawers so that it goes vertical, or choose to place them on the ground side-to-side.

We do not recommend using a piece of furniture you actually use! Leaving wood outside to get rained on will mean that it begins to take on water damage. This is fine for the plants, but not so much if you ever wanted to use the dresser again. We recommend finding a free piece of furniture from Craigslist, or find something very cheap from a local Goodwill or Salvation Army ReStore.
