Part of working in a grocery store is to help people find what they’re looking for or help them carry certain things that they might be unable to carry themselves. But this “Karen” couple just sounds… incredibly lazy. Even after showing them that they were wrong about their item not fitting in the cart, this Reddit user went the extra mile of bringing it to the front of the store… for nothing. What right did this woman have to treat this barista like this? Expressing her disappointment didn’t fix anything at all and was only said for the purpose of making the barista feel bad. This “Karen” is the epitome of spreading the misery around, though it would have been more poetic if the barista had told her her husband had been stealing sips of her coffee. When someone who’s infirm goes into a grocery store, it’s only natural to want to offer to help them with their groceries, as well as offering to help carry the groceries to their car. But if the only thing that they’re buying is a birthday card, you would think that’s something they can carry on their own… right? Not this woman. There’s nothing more irritating for people working in the service industry than customers who try to come in right when the store is closing.
